SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.<span><br > <br > The Parent and Infant Mental Health Clinician (PIMHC) (classifications range from Social WorkerOccupational Therapist Level 3Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1PsychologistClinical Psychologist) will work alongside the CAMHS and Adult Community Mental Health Service for the St George Mental Health Service PIMH Team. The PIMHS team aims to improve the mental health of mothers, infants and their families by screening mothers at risk of having psychosocial vulnerabilities that impact on their parenting capacity and physical health issues in the anti and post natal periods.<br > <br > The PIMHC will provide both intensive mental health care and longer term care coordination and consultation for pregnant women and parents who are primary carers for an infant up to 2 years of age, and who have severe and complex mental health problems. Priority will be based on severity of parental mental illness andor complex management or family and other social issues that impact on the care of the infant. This includes mental health assessment, support and therapeutic interventions and education to various community partners and stakeholders in building work force capabilities.<div> <div style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"> <div> <div style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><em><strong>SESLHD is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our community. We encourage people from different backgrounds to apply.<br > <br > Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.<strong><em><div> <div> <div style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"> <p style="font-family: Arial"><strong>Selection Criteria: <strong><p> <ol> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Social Work and Nursing and eligible for membership of an appropriate professional body and approved post registration tertiary qualification relevant to adult mental health, perinatal and infant mental health or extensive clinical practice in the field of mental health; For nursing, current Authority to Practice as a Registered NurseMidwife and at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursingmidwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which heshe is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation; and current Driver’s License.<li> <li>Previous experience in working with parents and families with infants experiencing severe and complex parental psycho social and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period with demonstrated knowledge of the impact of mental health problems and mental illness on parenting, parent – infant relationships and infant development.<li> <li>Proven clinical leadership skills and experience in clinical teaching.<li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of computerised information systems and proven ability to utilise research quality improvement strategies to effect changes in clinical practice<li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team<li> <li>Demonstrated capacity to act as an independent consultant with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.<li> <ol> <div> <p style="font-family: Arial;"> <p> <div style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"> <p style="font-family: Arial;">
