Manage and develop strategic industry partnerships to facilitate meaningful connection between students and industry.

- Play a lead role in supporting employability at La Trobe

- Full time, Fixed-term 6 Month contract

- Role based at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus

- $ 85,724.00 - $ 94,302.00 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation *

About the role

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Managing strategic relationships across a range of public, private, and non-profit organisations supporting work experience & graduate opportunities

- Promoting La Trobe students, graduates and related recruitment services to employers.

- Partnering with internal divisions to identify and enable opportunities that enhance employability for students across all campuses

- Coordinating industry involvement in the ongoing operation of La Trobe’s Employability programs, subjects and events, including the set-up and administration of all online/virtual engagement platforms while ensuring seamless delivery to external and internal stakeholders.

- Providing students with advice on employment opportunities and labour market information, via publication of online and printed material, and presentations at careers events and workshops .

- Implementing accurate record keeping of all engagements and ensuring delivery of timely internal reports.

Skills & Experience

In this role, the preferred candidate will have:

- An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to influence and build relationships, with capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in small teams

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Demonstrated high level of self-motivation and personal management skills.

- Demonstrated high level organisation, planning and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes

An understanding of the major issues and current trends in career development and Employability, especially as they relate to the Higher Education sector will be highly advantageous.
