As the Route Performance Analyst, you will provide route, market, and competitor performance analysis on your assigned portfolio of markets to identify initiatives for maximising route profitability by capitalising on revenue opportunities, as well as providing recommendations for cost saving measures such as dynamic capacity adjustments. Through detailed business cases supported by financial and economic analysis, as well as working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders, your work will play a critical role in supporting business decisions that directly influence the overall Qantas performance and its strategic direction, and often presented across a broad set of stakeholders and at all levels of Qantas management.
To be successful in this role, you will have –
Tertiary qualifications in Aviation Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline
Strong airline commercial acumen with a passion for the aviation industry and detailed understanding of the competitive operating environment for airlines, including demand, revenue and cost drivers
Advanced analytical, reporting and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to translate complex data points to appropriate recommendations and action plans
Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize complex situations, formulate solution sets and present results in simple, presentable and understandable terms
Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management, with ability to present and influence outcomes, deal with complexity, ambiguity, confidentiality, and differing viewpoints
Proven stakeholder collaboration experience, with ability to build effective networks and working relationships to consistently deliver optimal business recommendations
Passionate and motivated self-starter, with ability to work with agility in a high-pressure analytical environment, with changing priorities and tight deadlines, applying sound business judgment
Ability to make independent judgments, calculated risks and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities
