<p style=" text-align: center;;;;"><strong>Ranger<br >Ranger Grade 12<strong><p><p style=""><br >If you are keen to be part of a passionate and professional team working to conserve and protect our natural environment a unique opportunity has arisen to become a NPWS Ranger in the Wollemi Yengo Area.<p><p style=""><br >The successful candidate would be responsible for establishing five new flora reserves in an area which manages; Gondwana Rainforest, Wilderness Areas, World Heritage-Listed Parks,
the only Historic Heritage Site on park in NSW and rich Aboriginal Cultural Heritage.<p><p style=""><br >You would be part of a dynamic and experienced team comprising 5 other Rangers, and over 20 field and office staff, working from either the Bulga Office or Bucketty Depot.<p><p style=""><br >In this position you would undertake a wide range of tasks, affording you the opportunity to experience diverse landscapes and remote and isolated locations. There is also the chance to learn about, and work in fire management and wildfire response.<p><p style=""><br >There would be flexibility offered around preferred work location. The Bulga office is situated in the Hunter Valley, 18 minutes south west of Singleton (population 16K) which offers shopping, education and sporting facilities, less than 100kms from Newcastle’s famous beaches and under 3 hours to Sydney CBD or the Blue Mountains.<p><p style=""><br >Bucketty depot is a 45 minute drive north west of Gosford, under an hour to the beaches, cafes and shopping on the Central Coast and within easy reach of Sydney CBD (1½ hours) and the Blue Mountains (2½ hours).<p><p style=" text-align: center;;;;"><br ><strong>• The role is in Bulga,<br >• Starting salary of $63,672pa + employers’ contribution to super and annual leave loading and 17% loading for working weekends and public holidays<br >• Temporary role up to 36 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to ongoing<br >• Great opportunity to work with National Parks and Wildlife Services<strong><p><p style=";;"><br ><strong>About the Role<strong><br >As a Ranger you’ll provide effective management of natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage by undertaking, coordinating and supervising projects, environmental assessments, visitor and stakeholder liaison and field-based activities including bushfire management, and law enforcement.
