The Clinical Nurse Consultant is an expert practitioner who facilitates sound evidence based clinical practice through research and leadership. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a role model to peer nursing groups within the field of Palliative Care and plays a vital role in health promotion, education and continuously reviews practice to ensure that excellence is achieved in patient care. The Clinical Nurse Consultant works collaboratively with all staff within the hospital including the broader Palliative Care team, patients, patient families and carers to ensure optimal outcomes for all patients.
