Arial"><br > <strong>Where you'll be working<strong> <br > The Strategic Reform function was established with the Strategic Reform and Planning Branch to lead and support health system reform.  Key functions of the branch are to lead the development of:<p> <ul> <li>the strategic vision for health into the future and the operationalisation of this vision;<li> <li>shared system priorities;<li> <li>collaborative strategic relations within the health cluster and across government agencies; and<li> <li>purposeful measurement, analysis and economic appraisal of strategic priorities.<li> <ul> <p style="font-family: Arial">A key immediate priority of the Strategic Reform Branch is Value based Health Care inclusive of both the Leading Better Value Care Program (LBVC) and Virtual Care initiatives which form part of NSW Health’s strategic initiatives. The LBVC program has been established to:<p> <ul> <li>provide the best care for patients by supporting a new focus on patient experience and health outcomes;<li> <li>establish approaches to commissioning and contestability; and<li> <li>work in partnership with key stakeholders and support workforce reform.  <li> <ul> <p style="font-family: Arial">The key goals of the LBVC program are:<p> <ul> <li>Focussing on patients through adopting a patient experience and health outcomes approach;<li> <li>Focussing on value across the triple aim to support moving away from volume;<li> <li>Addressing future demand and fiscal pressures by creating future system capacity through efficient and effective care and services.<li> <ul> <p style="font-family: Arial">Over time, other key priorities will be included in the functions of the Strategic Reform Branch.<br > For more information go to w.health.<p> <p style="font-family: Arial"><br > <strong>What you'll be doing <strong><br > The Principal Economics Advisor provides strategic policy advice and economic analysis to drive the development and implementation of system priorities and reforms which enable the achievement of Health’s planned outcomes and alignment with broader Government objectives.<br > This role develops, conducts and manages the implementation of economic analyses and evaluations within the suite of projects being undertaken to facilitate executive decision making.<p> <p style="font-family: Arial"><br > <strong>Candidate Assessment <strong><br > You may be asked to undertake further assessments as part of the recruitment process for this position, which may include, but is not limited to, psychometric assessment (e.g. personality and cognitive abilities assessments) andor particular work tasks.<p> <p style="font-family: Arial"><br > <strong>
