About The Role
Role Location: 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term
As the Governance Project Lead, you will lead the design of updates to key financial crime governance mechanism in line with legislative, industry and regulatory requirements/expectations. Furthermore,
you will perform gap analysis work and improve the governance model including business insights.
Your role will work closely with multiple stakeholders to plan for and deliver compliance outcomes, manage project risks/dependencies, drive high performance delivery, engage stakeholders and lead a highly-engaged team.
You are also accountable for:
Planning, prioritisation and project management – Contributing to the development and maintenance of project plans/schedules, effectively prioritising the allocation of resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery and managing risks, issues and dependencies. People management – Providing leadership and effective management of a small team. Stakeholder engagement – Ensuring the close engagement of project stakeholders across FCP, Divisions and project sponsors/senior staff. This includes the preparation of information for senior Committee reporting. Change management – Effectively delivering change to imbed project outputs into key areas within the business.
The role would suit an organized, collaborative and experienced Governance professional who also has experience with projects..
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong experience in regulatory governance (preferably financial crime), team management, and change management. Experience with project management disciplines is also key. Experience in AML Program management and governance approaches essential (preferably in Banking/Financial Services) Can appreciate difficult problems and work autonomously on tasks with a medium to high level of complexity, works collaboratively as part of a team and can clearly represent consolidated findings Comfortable to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and work hands-on, collaboratively with passion and energy. Establish collaborative working relationships and be able to build strong collaboration and networks both internally and externally Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytical, with strong ability to influence without direct authority, and demonstrated learning agility to digest complex and large information sets to draw insights, conclusions and actions
