Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) is one of HSBC's global product lines generating over 10% of Group revenues and is uniquely positioned to help clients make and receive payments, across borders and regulations, in multiple currencies. Our expertise in this area has been recognised by the industry’s most prominent publications as the best global cash manager for corporate and financial institutions in consecutive years.
In your role as Business Manager, you will be supporting the Country Head of GLCM and ASP Head of Business Management, the role has a broad remit covering aspects of business analytics, business planning, project delivery tracking and business performance management.
Responsible for performance management, including, but not limited to:-
Driving performance management, cost management and sales metrics management across GLCM Australia Coordinating and developing key MI, managing the completion of dashboards and contributing to the development of Operating Plans; Facilitating high quality communication between Regions, Global Businesses and Functions Producing high quality presentations and analysis for the various management forums (e.g.EXCO, Town Halls, Management Meetings) Leading the standardisation of core business management processes and coordinating with finance to drive efficient service enhancements in delivery of performance management for GLCM Globally
The scope of activities undertaken by Business Management spans GLCM’s Sales, Client Management, Product Management and e-Commerce organisation and related support areas of Finance, DBS (Digital Business Services), Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk, HR (Human Resources) and Communications.
Your main responsibilities will include
Support Performance Management through active engagement in the Monthly Business Reviews Proficient with Finance and Business Management tool (e.g.QlikSense, Tableau, Excel, OMNIA, HORIS) Work with Strategy/Finance to drive GLCM strategy exercises Support GLCM content and discussion on Global Business lead initiatives Identify, support and coordinate revenue & cost enhancements and share best practice globally Support cost challenges by coordinating targets, implementation and monitoring & provide insight and analysis of the fastest-growing and least visible elements of cost-overhead. Lead a variety of projects / initiatives across GLCM to improve business performance and facilitate alignment to achieve strategic objectives Oversight and delivery of transformative technology to drive operational change within the business (e.g. AI, ML and Robotics) Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need
Knowledge of the GLCM business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses Ability to multitask and prioritise a range of requests / actions to best support the Country Head of GLCM Ability to prepare business cases, business plans Highly numeracy and business presentation skills Ability to work within a small team structure and on solo tasks Display a high level of objectivity and ability to challenge senior management on various aspects of their business Understanding of Liquidity and payments and receivables products
