Food and Beverage Team Leader - Adelaide Airport

Adelaide Airport has been under an extensive renovation program with stage two of this process about to launch to the public with the opening of a number of our new venue offerings.

Coopers AleHouse - the long time favorite of Adelaide flyers returns to Adelaide Airport. In its customary high visibility location in front of the general security screening of the terminal, Coopers AleHouse is scheduled to reopen in late June to serve the hungry and thirsty masses.

The Pantry (by Callum Hahn) - this cafe / restaurant concept is a venue inspired by our partnership with local culinary celebrity Callum Hahn.

Opening in conjunction with Coopers AleHouse this cafe outlet will serve a comprehensive variety of food and beverages, from general meals to grab and go concepts.

Soho - shortly after the opening of Coopers AleHouse and The Pantry will see the launch of Soho Adelaide Airport. This small niche cafe will offer high quality espresso coffee and food offerings that compliment the beverage offerings.

As a result of the impending openings of these three venues we are looking for up to 4-5 additional team leaders / shift supervisors to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience managing/supervising small teams of 1-5 additional staff, including duties such as training new staff, maintaining stock control and food safety system administration etc.

You must possess a nationally recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, and either already possess (or be willing to complete within 90 days) a nationally recognised Food Safety / Hygiene certificate - as we are a HACCP accredited business. Additional qualifications such as Diplomas/Certificates in Hospitality Management are desirable but not essential.

Adelaide Airport operations are 7 days a week and ultimately trading hours may operate between 4am and 11pm across these days so availability to work across a wide spread of hours/shifts will be highly desirable.

Other Responsibilities include:

- Hands on supervision of all bar/restaurant operations, ensuring efficient and friendly service and the delivery of consistent and high quality F&B; products to all guests

- Ensuring delivery of the highest quality service, product and presentation at all times, and mobilising the workforce to strive for the equivalent in excellence

- Update wine lists and menus as required in conjunction with the Business and Assistant Business Managers

- Monitoring sales trends and profit margins in order to optimise the outlets profit via POS reporting.

- Maintenance of staffing levels, balancing service standards/expectations and revenue

Skills and experience:

- Demonstrated customer-focussed and highly visible approach

- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and Point of Sales Systems

- Demonstrated ability to drive change and upselling/promotional programs

- Experience managing a team across multiple F&B; outlets and within a unique hospitality environment will be highly regarded
