Led by Swinburne University of Technology, working in partnership with CSIRO and Germany’s ARENA 2036, the Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2) project will bring together researchers, industry partners and business. Testing, trialling and demonstrating new and emerging hydrogen technologies, the Victorian Hydrogen Hub will support sustainable manufacturing practices and the ability to store clean energy from renewable sources, striving to create a sustainable future for all.



The Hydrogen Hub Research Assistant will work with the Capability Engine Lead and the Hydrogen Hub Community Facilitation team as part of the core multidisciplinary research and engagement team of the VH2.

You will liaise across multiple sectors and with a range of communities to gather insights regarding the challenges and opportunities and relevance of the hydrogen economy.



You will assist with the collection, analysis and reporting of research data related to the program. This work includes participant recruitment, qualitative and quantitative research design and collaboration with stakeholders and relevant participants of the engagement program in Hydrogen. You will also utilize your expertise in human-centered and/or design-inspired methodologies, psychology and/or related social science research to gain insights through research and informed by the research results, consider potential applications of hydrogen relevant to the stakeholders of the community.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:





- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Design, Social Sciences, Psychology, Entrepreneurship or a relevant field and professional experience in research or related professional industries.

- Curiosity and appreciation for the opportunities and threats that may arise from the collision of industry and technology.

- Research skills in either academia and/or industry with skills in research design, ethics protocols, literature and best practice review, writing and editing.

- Ability to translate content and work with diverse stakeholders as part of the co-creation process.
