About This Opportunity
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join UQBR Administration team in the position of Data Administration Officer.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and oversight of the animal management database. A major component of this position will be to create and review written workflows, develop training videos, and deliver training to staff and researchers using the database.
This position will be based at Long Pocket campus.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate must possess qualifications and experience in relevant disciplines, thorough understanding of research using animals and the need for quality data collection and manipulation.
You must have demonstrated experience in maintaining databases, develop training material for database users in both readable and video format and be responsible for written workflows and deliver training to staff and researchers on all relevant database functionalities. The ability to work with complex processes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
You will need to be able to work independently, manage and prioritise your own workload. You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, along with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and work effectively in a team environment is essential.
Medical Clearance: Working with laboratory animals is an inherent requirement of the position. Your appointment is therefore subject to, and conditional upon, satisfactory medical clearance(s), including disclosure of relevant medical history, to undertake such work without unreasonable risk to your health and safety. It is also a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases. In addition, the Employee is required to fully comply with necessary ongoing health monitoring procedures and control measures associated with the position.
