About the Role
As a Cook at one of our care homes you will be responsible for developing and delivering nutritious meals to our residents that make them feel like they are home and empowers our residents’ choices and independence.
Preparation and cooking of various meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacksComplying with all infection control and safe food handling proceduresLiaising with our residents, their families and the care teamTimely completion of all required documentation and reporting
Skills and Experience
Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essentialPrevious experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environmentExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to solve problems independentlyAn understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesMust have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history check
