ERM is recruiting for a Consultant - Contaminated Land and Site Investigation. This position is based in Melbourne and represents an exciting opportunity for an individual looking for career advancement on large projects for global clients.

This role is focussed on delivery and management of projects predominantly in contaminated site assessment/auditing support and rehabilitation at mine sites, landfills, and power generating, chemical, and oil and gas facilities as required in Victoria, across Australia and in Asia Pacific. The role will also include the expectation of supporting and developing staff in this technical area.

Role Profile:

To support the successful delivery of ERM projects and objectives by:

- Experience working in the field on a range of sites and utilising various soil, water and gas techniques.

- High standards with respect to health and safety

- Experience working on contaminated land projects. Landfill experience and/or working in support of EPA appointed auditors highly regarded but not essential.

- Experience preparing and compiling complete project report drafts

- Experience working with multiple project teams or junior resources


- 2-3+ years of consulting experience with technical delivery of soil and groundwater related projects at mines, landfills, contaminated sites, and other facilities. 

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in earth science, environmental science, engineering, planning or related field.

- Understanding of local regulatory context.

- Commitment to health and safety

- Demonstrable track record in delivering high quality field data.

- Experience mentoring junior consultants

- Authorisation to work in Australia and current driver's licence
