As part of the continued growth of our Merger & Acquisition and Operational Performance services team, ERM has an opportunity for a data focused consultant to join our global consulting firm as an Environmental and Safety Consultant in an organisation with Sustainability at its heart. ERM has integrated data analytics and technology enabled services into product offerings and is quickly expanding this aspect of our business. Our clients are under increasing pressure to prioritise the environment, health, safety and social performance and reduce operational risk while remaining competitive.

You will work as part of a team that helps our clients respond to these demands using technology and data to turn sustainability from a necessary cost to a value creator. You will be joining a national team working alongside some of Australia's leading technical experts on a portfolio which includes EHS, due diligence for Mergers & Acquisitions, Environmental and Social Governance advisory services and EHS Compliance.


- Support a team of technology and data specialists in creating new processes and tools to drive our client's performance and/or understand their risks/liabilities;

- Preparing technical reports and auditing sites as the support or lead assessor;

- Supervising Coordinating project team(s) and coaching and mentoring more junior staff;

- Establishing strong working relationships with clients through project delivery; and

- Building effective working relationships within the business unit and participating in global technical communities to ensure a strong network of resources.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

- We’re looking for a team player with strong interpersonal skills who thrives on variety.

- Degree qualified in science, engineering or environmental management, with EHS qualifications a bonus;

- A passion for problem solving with skills in use any or all of Microsoft Excel, GIS, Statistical modelling, data analysis etc;

- Environmental / ESG Due Diligence and/or EHS compliance assurance experience would be benefical but is not essential;

- Exposure to ESG aspects of mergers and acquisitions, divestment, project finance, private equity, liability assessment and transaction advisory is desirable;

- Solid commercial acumen, business development and project management skills;

- A total commitment to health and safety;

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with experience writing proposals;

- The ability to manage competing priorities and to work effectively under pressure to deadlines;

- An interest in travel, both within Australia and internationally; and

- Current driving license.
