Position details

St Joseph's School, Boulder, is a single stream primary school located in the town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. We have a young, dynamic and dedicated staff and are looking for a teacher to join the team. We are seeking an early childhood qualified teacher for our Pre-Primary class for the remainder of the year, with the possibility of ongoing employment. Ideally, the new teacher would begin on Monday, May 17th, but the start date is negotiable for the right applicant. A Term 3 start is also possible. Our PP classroom has just been completely renovated (moving in next week), so we are confident you will enjoy the new learning environment. A nice 2-bedroom unit will be available for rent,

so there would be no need to source your own accommodation.

Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a very large town (population 30,000) with a wide range of activities available for both adults and children. We enjoy the additional benefits (such as rental assistance) of the CEWA Remote Area Package, but are just an hour's flight from Perth and the Prospector train also provides a daily service. Once here, you will not want for much as Kalgoorlie-Boulder is extremely well-resourced and vibrant, with a huge choice of places to eat, a range of sporting clubs to join, parks and open spaces, a movie theatre and a modern recreation centre.

St Joseph's School has an organisational health score in the top decile, which means we are a great place to work with a supportive and positive culture. We enjoy high levels of parent satisfaction and a close relationship with the parish. Our early career teachers are supported by designated mentors, as well as the CEWA Early Career Teacher programme.

Please email the principal, Lisa Gallin, if you have any questions regarding the school, or life in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. She can also put you in contact with current staff if you have further questions about what to expect as a single person, couple, or family in the Goldfields area. Some further information about the school and subsidies you might be entitled to can be found on the Employment page of the school's website in the document named "Information Sheet for Potential Teaching Staff".
