Agency Overview

Infrastructure NSW provides specialist advice to the NSW Government on infrastructure investment and prioritisation. We are a NSW government agency, established under the Infrastructure NSW Act 2011.

Our core functions include providing independent and strategic advice to ensure infrastructure investment decisions are underpinned by robust assessment and long term planning; monitoring NSW’s infrastructure program through independent reviews and expert analysis; recommending infrastructure projects to the NSW Treasurer for funding from the Restart NSW fund; and managing the procurement and delivery of nominated priority projects.

We embrace diversity, welcome innovation and forge lasting relationships based on a common interest in making NSW the best it can be. We’re small and nimble – and our impact is mighty!

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Asset Management and Resilience to join the team at Infrastructure NSW.

The role sits within the Strategy, Planning and Innovation team (SPI) which undertakes research and analysis of current and emerging infrastructure trends, issues and opportunities across the entire lifecycle of projects in the infrastructure system to provide strategic, expert advice to Government.

SPI is responsible for the following infrastructure strategies and plans required under the Infrastructure NSW Act:

- 20-year State Infrastructure Strategy (every 5 years)

- 5-year Infrastructure Plan (annually)

- Sectoral State Infrastructure Strategy Statements (as directed by the Premier)

- any other plan or advice directed by the Premier.

SPI is also responsible for Infrastructure NSW’s role in the implementation of the NSW Government commitments under the NSW Government Action Plan.

The Director, Asset Management and Resilience role will be responsible for leading and managing the development of strategic infrastructure planning that will contribute to the 5 year strategy and long term planning for infrastructure investment in NSW. This will include leading the implementation of the NSW Asset Management Assurance framework across all NSW agencies (comprising $340 billion of assets), the development of whole-of-government asset management strategies and strategic advice to NSW Government on infrastructure policies such as resilience, performance of asset systems and reform.
