Risk and Compliance Analyst



Performing a critical role in supporting The Group’s compliance with its regulatory obligations, the risk and compliance analyst is responsible for administering our national risk, business continuity and regulatory compliance program, particularly in relation to state health, licensing and the CSO for Sigma and its subsidiaries. This includes liaising with relevant regulatory and government agencies nationally, ensuring we adhere to our monthly risk and compliance reporting requirements and involvement in various other risk and compliance related activities



The Role



Working across four main areas of expertise within the Risk and Compliance team,

you will have a strong background and understanding of Regulatory Compliance; Internal Audit, Risk and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). It is critically important that you have previous experience in a highly regulated business environment e.g Therapeutic Goods Regulations; CSO; State Health or The Pharmaceutical Sector.



The tasks you will be responsible for will be as follows:



- Assist with management of all activities within the Group with a key focus on the Group’s Community Service Obligations (CSO) as a pharmaceutical wholesaler, state health regulations and therapeutic goods regulations. Manage communications between the Group and relevant regulatory and government agencies nationally. Co-ordinate the Group’s Monthly Declaration and Exception Report activities to meet CSO Agency requirements. Review and improve the quality of the Group’s reporting. Co-ordinate any new regulatory requirements for the Group. Manage the Groups state health licencing records and respond to requests for licences. Analyse data and processes to minimise non compliances Prepare documentation to ensure all regulatory requirements are evaluated and addressed as required. Co-ordinate and develop risk and compliance reporting for senior management and other stakeholders. Assist in the maintenance of the Group’s regulatory compliance program. Run compliance training sessions as and when required Co-ordinate, plan and execute the internal audit program for the Group’s compliance obligations with applicable legislation, regulation, code and guidelines Complete internal audit reports for management in a timely manner Assist with development and compilation of external reports (e.g. APC, S8) to meet Sigma’s compliance obligations Assist with new projects (e.g. ISO certification, Project Unify) Assist with maintaining Business Continuity Management Plans and running exercises to test these plans



To be considered for this challenging and important role you will have the following background and skills:



- Understanding of ISO 31000:2018 (Risk) and AS ISO 19600:2015 (Compliance) as well as ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management)

- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including accessing and presenting relevant data (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

- Developing and implementing business and planning processes

- Experience with Visio or other business process mapping software

- IT systems at an operational level

- Highly developed presentation skills and public speakingskills

- Commercially astute

- Business partnering skills- establishment of effective relationships with internal stakeholders

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task

- Proactive in resolving queries and problems and with the ability to highlight future potential areas of risk.

- Ability to work autonomously as wee as being a team player
