The Opportunity Located in Parkville (Australia) and part of the manufacturing team, a full time position has become available for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Inactivation team as a Production Operator. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will perform a range of tasks required in the pharmaceutical production of influenza vaccines. Key activities will include, but are not limited, to: Completion of batch documentation; Operation of laboratory equipment including incubators; Prepare equipment used in the process such as intermediate bottles, fittings, filters and machine parts; Perform calculations as required by the relevant SOP; Routine cleaning of plant and production work areas; Perform work session and post clean environmental monitoring. It is expected that all tasks will be completed in accordance with cGMP, Seqirus Quality Management System, TGA/FDA/DAWR/OGTR regulatory requirements, as well as Seqirus Environmental Health and Safety requirements and CSL Values. Other important things to note: All employees working in the Influenza Manufacturing facility are required to be immunised against any relevant influenza virus and maintaining an up to date immunisation status is an inherent requirement of the role. Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (PPCE) is required for many of the activities listed above. The position requires 73.5 hours per fortnight. Weekend work will be required and some overtime and shift work may also be required. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must: Have completed VCE or equivalent , however tertiary qualifications in science are preferred; Possess a satisfactory level of numeracy and literacy; Minimum 12 months experience in a cGMP environment; Possess experience in working in a team environment to achieve targets and meet deadlines; Have a working knowledge of the following IT applications Word, Excel, Email, SAP, MODA, & LIMs. In addition the ideal candidate must: Be able to carefully and accurately follow policies and procedures; Have excellent attention to detail; Be an effective communicator; Demonstrate initiative; Be flexible and adaptable. Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience and/or experience operating manufacturing equipment will be highly regarded.
