The Role

This APS 6 HR Officer role supports the CASG HR Business Partner Team in providing trusted workforce management advice and support to the CASG Senior Leadership Group and Workforce Managers. The role is varied, interesting, and challenging, and would suit a motivated, agile, and organised individual.

You will work autonomously and in partnership with the HR Business Partners within the team to build strong relationships with our customers through the provision of proactive strategic HR support. This includes identification of trends through data analytics,

with a solutions-focused approach to current & future complex workforce matters to ensure we assist our customers in achieving their strategic objectives.

This position is available as a Non-ongoing opportunity for a period of 12 months.

It is an exciting time to join the HR Business Partner cohort in the Department. You will contribute to a positive culture in a high tempo environment. Our HR Business Partners work in an integrated workforce to assist in the delivery of HR outcomes across the Defence organisation. You will work autonomously whilst holding a team focus to ensure innovative ideas are shared across the team. You will also have opportunities to contribute to the delivery of large-scale reform projects that deliver significant improvements across our enterprise and the employment life cycle.

You will draw on your ability to clarify customer needs, research solutions, and deliver optimal outcomes in a timely manner.

A solid understanding of APS workforce management practices and legislative frameworks will help you succeed in this role.
