This hands-on role is responsible for the set-up, coordination and execution of all Functions, Events and Conferencing activity in the Venue. Reporting to the General Manager you will collaborate with all Department Managers, Sales Staff and the Kitchen Team to ensure the successful running of Functions, Events and Conferences. Along with your staff you will provide excellent customer service and a great experience for all of our guests. If you thrive on success and love to be challenged this role is for you! As the Functions Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Function, Event & Conference set up and execution Supervision and management of Function activities including allocation and development of staff Administration including preparation of staff rosters and sourcing and ordering of supplies Liaising with clients during events Managing quality control by monitoring service levels against established customer service standards Working as part of a dynamic management team
You like to be hands on and lead by example. You are self-motivated and proactive with immaculate personal presentation and outstanding communication. You love being part of the team and approach your work in an energetic and positive manner. You have experience managing a variety of large and smaller events and conferences of different sizes in a venue with multiple function rooms. Along with the above requirements you also possess the below qualities:
Exceptional communication Outstanding team management skills Ability to be hands on and assist the team in executing set up Pride in your attention to detail Outstanding organisation and time management Exceptional training skills & the ability to develop staff Ability to manage and implement process and procedure Ability to multi task, delegate and work under pressure Personal honesty and integrity Previous experience in a similar role Ability to work nights and weekends.
Must have RSA & Food Handling Certificate.
Must be available to work a flexible roster including days, nights, weekends, New Year's Eve and all Major Race Events.
