About the Role
Facilitate practice of self and others in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position. Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals. Accountable for managing effective and cost-efficient management of hospital resources and services within and available to the Community and Oral Health in collaboration with the Director Innovation and Research. Provide leadership which enhances the effectiveness of the interprofessional team by establishing and maintaining partnerships within the service and across the care continuum. Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others. Collaborate with others to promote and communicate research activity as achievable and rewarding and assist to maximise research potential in novice researchers. Work collaboratively with academic partners, health care consumers, and with other internal and external stakeholders to build research capacity through identification of training, collaboration and funding opportunities. Display research expertise and provide strategic advice and leadership in relation to research activities. Lead and manage significant clinical research across Community and Oral Health including the development and implementation of strategies to advance and promote high quality research activity and productivity. Lead the development of specific clinical research projects by assisting with the development of research protocols and managing ethical and clinical governance approval and facilitating applications for grant funding.
