Project Support Officer



$70,791 - $85,956 (Plus Superannuation)



Fixed Term / until 31 December 2021



Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)



Usual work location: 121 Exhibition St, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)



The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Small Business Victoria branch within Jobs, Innovation and Business Engagement Group. Small Business Victoria supports the Minister for Small Business with well researched, relevant and timely information and advice to underpin key government decision making. The branch delivers policies and services that lead to profitable, growing and exporting Victorian small businesses able to create new jobs, including self-employment.



This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to be a part of the Business Recovery and Resilience Mentoring (BRRM) project, which delivers mentoring services to small businesses in Victoria, a COVID-19 response initiative. The Project Officer will support the Project Manager and delivery of BRRM. This position is required to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including team members, government departments and teams, and provider(s).



Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Project Officer will have the opportunity to lead component pieces of work to contribute to the overall success of the project.



To be successful in this role, you will need attention to detail, sound project administration, delivery, and communication skills.



The key accountabilities of the role will include:



Support the Project Manager in the delivery of projects that contribute to Departmental objectives and policies.



Undertake a variety of project support activities including preparation and coordination of project documents including meeting papers and coordinate the review and approval of deliverables; and comply with project governance processes.



Establish and maintain effective working and information exchange relationships with other areas of the Department and colleagues. Note, this role does not interact directly with businesses.



Support the Project Manager to manage the project's SharePoint site, including managing the various document libraries, and administering permissions and access levels, and maintaining accurate records.



Prepare clear and concise emails, memoranda, correspondence, and other documentation as required to a high standard.



Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across team, branch, and division.
