The Cabinet, Communications and Corporate group is responsible for providing core whole of government and departmental services. The group is responsible for overseeing Cabinet management, strategic communications, engagement and protocol (including behavioural insights), corporate governance, public sector reform and the department's corporate services.
The Procurement Branch is part of the Corporate Services portfolio and focuses on supporting the Department and several portfolio agencies through a decentralised procurement model.
Business areas undertake procurement activities and the Corporate Procurement Team (CPT) as expert advisors at all points of the procurement process. At these points the CPT provides guidance, advice,
ideas and solutions, while ensuring procurement activities are undertaken within government legislative and policy requirements.
This position will provide expert advice in support of a Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) Data Centre strategy. The role will work closely with Cenitex, VicGov Entities and Digital Strategy and Transformation Branch to provide expert advice for consideration by DPC Procurement.
The position will lead technical requirements gathering and engagement with Departments and Agencies to ensure their technical requirements are included and considered.
This is a high-profile project for all government departments and entities in Victoria. DPC will require strong Data Centre and Hybrid Cloud environment specialist technical knowledge, stakeholder communication and engagement, delivery and change management skills to ensure success.
The role requires a self-starter with strong technical skills and experience managing complex technical stakeholder groups within an enterprise IT environment. You will have an ability to work with limited supervision in a sensitive and fast paced environment.
