Victoria State Emergency Service

Provide quality administrative and logistical support to our Units and volunteers to maintain operational readiness.

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.

As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.

VICSES is committed to being a child safe organisation.

VICSES offers Flexible Working Arrangements and where possible, Job Sharing may also be considered.

This role will support Unit Controllers with administering their VICSES Units by providing advice and direct support to Units with grant applications, human resource strategies for volunteers and logistical tasks required to maintain operational readiness.

A current Working With Children Check is an essential requirement of this role. A strong belief in child safety and protection, and a willingness to be actively engaged in the VICSES child safe culture is critical.

The position being offered is a VPS 4.1, Full Time, Ongoing position. VICSES are anticipating a reorganisation which could impact and change this position.
