Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Section Leader, we have an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer Bridges & Maritime, to provide technical input and direction in the design, rehabilitation and management of civil infrastructure within the Section and on projects; particularly for bridge structures. You will develop, design and facilitate the documentation of structural engineering solutions in response to a clients brief to an industry standard, maintain competency in the field of structural engineering and stay up-to-date with contemporary practice and trends in the industry as well as mentor our Global Future Talent engineers and take an active role in their technical development. Here's What You'll Need Bachelor level degree Chartered Professional Engineer Experience in Project Management tools Understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance Previous technical experience in discipline(s) relevant to design, including civil and bridges structures design. Significant experience on large projects Excellent communications skills Negotiation skills Mentoring and coaching design team members Confidence (able to challenge when required and appropriate) Desire to achieve high quality outputs and deliver excellent service
