My client (a state-of-the-art cloud application management organization) are looking for a Remote Site Reliability Engineer to join their growing oceanic team. You will join a sociable, globally distributed SRE team, having tons of autonomy over your role
This is a remote position with the growing Sydney team following AEDT Time Zone +/- 2 hours.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you
- operate and improve the infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security and cost
- are in charge of the monitoring, logging, observability and maintenance of my clients platform not only for the internal team, but for customers too.
- work closely with product teams to understand reliability and costings
- can design the SLOs for availabilty
- design system & application architecture
- Take part in the on call rota (during working hours)
To hit the ground running, we are looking for engineers with experience of
- AWS/GCP /IBM Cloud
- Linux systems background
- Some sofware development experience (ideally JAVA or Golang)
- Automation with Chef, Terraform or Ansible
- Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Clickhouse or CockroachDB as your data store
- Deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem and customer needs around observability on Kubernetes (GKS, EKS, IKS, Vanilla K8s)
