About the role

We have an opportunity for a Information Review Officer to be part of our PoliceLink team. The Review Officer coordinates the implementation of information access legislation within the NSWPF, including the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the GIPA Act). The role assesses applications, collaborates with key stakeholders and makes decisions regarding the release of information in accordance with legislation and associated policies and procedures.

Essential requirements

• Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for this role.

• Knowledge and understanding of information access legislation including the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.

Target Question 1:  

The successful candidate will be required to work in a high volume transactional environment and manage complex enquiries in a professional and customer focused manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Provide an example of when you have used these skills and outline how you meet the requirements for this role.

Target Question 2:

This role has the autonomy to make decisions or recommendations regarding the release of NSWPF Information in accordance with legislation and organisational instruments of delegation. Provide an example of when you have used research and analysis to achieve an outcome. Describe the process you followed to make your decision and the outcomes achieved.

To be eligible to apply for this role, you must meet one of the following statuses:

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 12 months.
