Transport for NSW is delivering an unprecedented $72.2b investment into a truly game changing Future Transport strategy which will bring together several modes and cutting edge technologies to deliver satisfaction and safety for our customers while supporting a rapidly growing economy. <p><p> <p><p><strong>The Division<strong><br>The?Greater Sydney?Division?integrates?transport modes?including?trains, metro and buses; critical infrastructure and services?to?support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population.? <p><p> <p><p><strong>The opportunity<strong><p><p>Right now, we have an opportunity until <strong>Mid-November 2021<strong> for a <strong>Land Use Planner<strong> to join the Strategic Land Use Team in the Planning & Programs branch based in <strong>Parramatta<strong> (currently working from home)<strong>.<strong><p><p> <p><p><strong>What you will be involved in:<strong><p><ul> <li>Assessing a broad range of planning proposals; providing advice on transport studies; reviewing Council land use documents such as Local Housing Strategies and Development Control Plans; advising on legislative reform; input into planned precincts, and more.<li> <li>Attending a range of meetings and forums with stakeholders to discuss feedback, scenario testing, options, and recommendations.<li> <li>Liaising and working with internal (across branches and divisions) and external stakeholders including developers, DPIE, GSC, other agencies and councils.<li> <ul><p>Please <a href="s:talent832612951.files.wordpress.com202103d_gs_pampp_land-use-planner_g8-1.pdf">click here <a>to view a copy of the role description.<p><p> <p><p><strong>About you <strong><p><p>You will come from a land use or transport planning background with an understanding of transport and land use legislative framework, ideally with qualifications in engineering or land use planning. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, and be a multi tasker in a fast paced environment.<p><p> <p><p><strong>
