<div class="video"><div><ul><li><strong>Full time 18-month traineeships available<strong><li><li><strong>Located across the Hunter region including Singleton and the Central Coast<strong><li><li><strong>Traineeship wage dependent on age and level of education completed<strong><li><li><strong>Please note these positions are open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants only.<strong><li><ul><p><strong><br>The <strong><strong><a href="s:w.scs.">Soil Conservation Service<a><strong><strong> is looking to create a talent pool of passionate people who are keen to kick start their career in Conservation Land Management by joining their Aboriginal <strong><strong>traineeship program. <br><br><strong>This recruitment is to create a talent pool for traineeship roles that become available for filling over the next eighteen months. One of the teams looking for new trainees is the<strong> <strong><a href="s:w.scs.soil-conservation-services-projectshunter-aboriginal-riverkeeper-team-project">Hunter Aboriginal Riverkeeper Team<a> (HART).<p><p><em><strong><br>Want to see what the HART team does and hear from some of the teams, then watch this <a href="s:youtu.be-8jxpb_fzHc" target="_blank">video<a>.<strong><em><p><p><strong><br>The Basics:<strong><p><ul><li>Outdoor field-based role (so you need to be prepared to work outdoors in all environments and conditions)<li><li>On the job training combined with a formal certificate in Conservation Land Management (so you need to be prepared to study and learn)<li><li>A current drivers licence would be ideal, but no matter what you’ll need a reliable way to get to and from work each day<li><ul><p><br>So if you’re keen to learn about the importance of connection to land and waterways to promote sustainability and develop bush regeneration and land management techniques, including the safe use of tools, plant identification, revegetation, seeding, and ready to adopt a steady and safe approach to the use of tools and chemicals in the workplace, we want to hear from you!<br><br><strong>PLEASE NOTE: <strong>To be eligible for this position applicants must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and accepted in the community as such.
