About Your Role
Based in Deakin,the primary purpose of this full time permanent ICT Systems Engineer is to work with assistance from Thales architects and product design authorities, to capture, refine and document user needs and requirements, propose solutions and assess them against those requirements.
- You are to articulate ICT solutions in tender documents, and estimate the material and labour costs with an associated design
- You are to utilise systems engineering tools, including; DOORS, model-based systems engineering tools, verification tools, and simulation tools. In order to explore and optimise candidate designs and products to meet user and other requirements.
- You are to characterise interfaces at systems boundaries, documenting and testing them. As systems are brought together, these interfaces will be tested, and the integrated product also tested, you are integral to this successful integration through both analysis and testing techniques.
- You are to coordinate testing regimes that ensure all of the systems capabilities are tested to both company and customer standards. Documenting the results in order to achieve customer product acceptance.
How About You?
- Computer Science or Engineering Degree in a relevant field: ICT, Communications, Computing, or Electronics.
- Experience in the design and implementation Defence and / or Commercial ICT systems / networks or similar complex electronic systems (3-5yrs).
- Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle.
- Experience developing and documenting ICT solutions for tenders / bids.
- Experience with authoring/reviewing technical documentation.
