The Role



Reporting to Site Manager, the  Shotfirer  manages the safe and efficient implementation of onsite blasting activities, as well as the provision of support, training and quality expertise in alignment with the services supplied on site. Your responsibilities will include:



In the mining industry, in-depth knowledge is crucial for driving and sustaining change that results in improved productivity. 



We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Shotfirer, on a full time basis, to provide support to our full-service operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise and apply you're mining skills and knowledge.



About You  





You will have the ability to work autonomously and assist the site in complying with and improving systems, ensuring a smooth and effortless process. You will be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results. You will also have:



- Promotion of HSEQ procedures to ensure Zero Harm at all times.

- Relevant work experience in an open-cut coal mine will be highly regarded

- RII suite Surface extraction competencies

- Dangerous Goods License

- Qld Heavy Rigid Vehicle License

- HRWL (Forklift) licence

- Have the aptitude to use computer software

- State and site specific mine license requirements

- Qld Security Clearance Card (formerly SSAN)

- Ability to pass a D&A; Test and Medical

- Flexibility to work across varying sites
