About the role
An Exciting opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work Full Time at Eastern Health providing clinical leadership for our Adult Mental Health Brief Intervention and Suicide Prevention Teams (based in Box Hill and Ringwood East).
Working in a dual governance leadership with the Team Leader, the Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for providing leadership, development, implementation and delivery of adult community mental health care for consumers of the Brief intervention and Suicide Prevention Teams to ensure that Eastern Health meets legislative requirements and health service agreements negotiated with the Department of Health and Human Services as well as the strategic initiatives, model of care as well as other mental health care service provision packages as developed over time across the Eastern Health catchment.
The successful applicant will be supported to participate in further education, including professional development as well as training and education for senior and junior medical staff and other disciplines across the interdisciplinary team.

This is an exciting position as part of our Adult Mental Health Community Clinical Service Stream. The incumbent will provide clinical direction and leadership for the clinical team and contribute to service improvements across the Central and Outer East Area Mental Health Services making up Eastern Health Adult Mental Health Community.
