In response, the IG Group Emerging Markets business unit has embarked on a significant development.



The New Business desk is the first point of contact for prospective clients. We are now looking to appoint a New Business Team Lead (Emerging Markets APAC) who will,

among other responsibilities assist the Head of Emerging Markets (APAC) develop and manage the Emerging Markets APAC sales team driving a high-performance sales culture, converting leads to new funded accounts, with the prioritised focus on Southeast Asia and the flexibility to cover other regions from time to time.



This is a key role in the Emerging Markets team and will report to the Head of Emerging Markets (APAC).

What you’ll do



The New Business Team Lead (Emerging Markets APAC) is responsible for all aspects of the sales process up to the point of clients funding their accounts, as well as some additional responsibilities to assist the Head of Emerging Markets (APAC), including:



- The conversion of prospective clients into accounts, including assisting failed applications, demo accounts and leads with the account opening process

- Explaining products, platform and procedures

- Attending tradeshows, seminars & open evenings when required

- Develop and manage the EM APAC sales team demonstrating advanced sales techniques with consistent outperformance across all KPIs

- Formulate and execute the sales strategy and process improvement in collaboration with the Head of Emerging Markets (APAC) and Emerging Markets Associates

- Respond to queries from the team and provide training where appropriate

- Manage the team calendar to ensure desk is adequately resourced

- Communicate performance of the sales team with local Management Team



Who you’ll be



- A passionate Sales expert with a strong track record of sales performance in financial services / FinTech

- In-depth knowledge of local market dynamics and the ability to set market sales strategy to grow client base and previous experience managing sales teams

- Strong leadership skills and an interest in managing and developing a sales team Excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone

- The ability to meet and exceed sales and performance targets

- The ability to work effectively under pressure

- To be able to establish rapport with people of all status and background

- Comprehensive knowledge of the CFD market and competition, our trading platform and products

- Fluent English and one of the Southeast Asia language speaker
