We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Export Coordinator within the Logistics team in Sydney.
Job Summary:
The focus of the role is to provide a high level of customer service and process documentation for export freight for clients in accordance with current legislation and company policies.
Ideally, the candidate should be tertiary qualified, with a background within the manufacturing export industries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating, reviewing and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of export shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing declarations, Shippers Letter of Instruction (SLI), certificates of origin, quarantine permits, etc.
Identifying and resolving all import/export issues as part of the logistics team.
Updating shipping information in our ERP system.
Monitoring and tracking all shipping costs.
Communicating with a variety of stakeholders including major customers, overseas suppliers, custom brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
Building strong and lasting relationships with customers and providing second-to-none customer service.
Performing data entry, job creation, billing, general administration,
or any ad hoc duties/tasks assigned.
Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by providing effective and efficient responses to customer inquiries, addressing issues, and resolving concerns promptly.
Taking full responsibility and end-to-end ownership of customer logistics and customer issues.
Reviewing purchase orders and shipment contents before releasing them from our contracted facility.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A strong background in international trade or logistics with relevant qualifications and previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent organization and multitasking skills as well as computer proficiency.
Previous scheduling experience within the transport industry.
Sound knowledge of quality procedures in a regulated industry is required.
Experience working with ERP systems is highly advantageous.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to generate reports and create visibility across logistics and distribution for internal teams.
Open C Class driver's license and reliable transport.
Innovative and capable of developing continuous improvement initiatives to drive costs down.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Experience, Education and Qualification:
At least 2 years of experience in freight, logistics, and distribution within a highly regulated industry is required.
Energetic, motivated, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding written, personal, and communication skills.
Strong computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
