Archer is a deep tech company advancing the quantum technology and medical diagnostics industries, based in the heart of the Tech Central precinct, Sydney.
We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineer with bio/medtech industry experience to join our team developing a sensor system based on graphene-based field effect transistors (FET).
The ideal candidate will have expertise in assay development for electronic sensors, an understanding of the market landscape and key problems in the industry, as well as experience using or developing graphene-based devices or semiconductor electronic sensors.
This is a hands-on role, working in the lab with our talented team of biologists,
chemists and electrical engineers on developing a sensor system based on graphene-based FET'S. A component of the work will also involve interfacing with our industry and academic partners.
The Role - Design and develop hardware components for our biochip sensor systemCollaborate with team members, across several disciplines, to optimize sensor performanceInterface with customers from medical and biotech companies and collaborate with academic partnersWork hands-on in a lab setting to conduct experiments and testingPrepare regular reports to present results and progress to the Archer team and managementWhat you'll bring - Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering or physical sciencesDemonstrated experience in assay development for electronic sensorsKnowledge of graphene-based devices or semiconductor electronic sensorsAbility to work well within a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication skills for interfacing with customers and partnersIndustry experience working in the bio/medtech field, interfacing with customers and collaborating with academic partners would be an added bonus!
As would an expertise in using and/or developing graphene-based devices (device design or electrical operation, readout and control) or semiconductor electronic sensors.
